The Daisy and Vic Schneidman Educational Scholarship Fund was established to support members of the JFCS of Long Beach & Orange County community in accomplishing their goals of higher education. Schneidman students are leaders in their community and have a desire to help others and give back to those in need. These scholars have demonstrated a passion for learning and are committed to pursuing their educational and career goals.
The application for the 2025-2026 award cycle is now available. The deadline to apply is May 16, 2025.

Eligibility
Scholarship funds are available to JFCS clinicians and interns who are currently working with JFCS as well as those who have completed their service but are still pursuing degree completion. Students must be pursuing higher education and enrolled in a certificate, degree, or vocational/trade program during the 2025-2026 school year. Students may attend full or part-time. Financial need is considered during the review and selection process. If you are a past award recipient and are still pursuing a degree, you remain eligible to apply.
Application & Award Process
Those who meet the eligibility requirements are asked to submit the completed application by May 16, 2025. Proof of enrollment and signed scholarship acknowledgement form will be required to receive the award. Scholarship recipients will be announced in July with awards being mailed out in August.
Selection Panel
The scholarship selection panel is comprised of members of the Schneidman family and JFCS volunteers. Selection of scholarship recipients and award amounts is at the sole discretion of this panel.
